Rumors have been thrown around a lot recently about Landon Donovan making the transfer to Europe. England was usually the subject of the transfer rumors, but now Germany and Bayern Munich is the talk to Landon’s future destination.
Steven Goff’s Morning Kickaround says that there were early stage discussions that did already take place. Will Major League Soccer let their biggest American star leave? How could Landon be replaced?

Landon Donovan should go back overseas to play soccer and continue his personal improvement. It is definitely time for him to depart once again simply because the MLS does not possess what the other international leagues do. If he enhances his soccer skills, it can truly benefit the USA national team not to mention his image as player already. Besides, it appears as if the LA Galaxy is headed nowhere for the time being. However, you cannot rule them out of their final playoff push this season.
I’d love to see him head for Germany and develop his skills some more. He’d be an exciting addition to Bayern, though between him and Luca Toni, I don’t know who’d be the team diva…
