Vanney coming back, Harden to retire?

After playing just one season with the Galaxy, 23 year old defender Ty Harden is retiring.  Harden claims he just lost his passion for the game and is quitting Major League Soccer in order to work for a charitable organization.

So with the loss of another defender the Galaxy had to do something.  Why not bring back another former Galaxy star?  They’ve sent Quavas Kirk up to DC United in exchange for former Galaxy defender Greg Vanney.   Vanney played for the Galaxy from the start of MLS until 2001 making 196 appearances in that time while scoring 26 goals.

It is too bad about Harden retiring – but maybe if we are lucky he will change his mind and come back to the Galaxy soon.
