What happened with Xavier?

It sounds like Abel Xavier will no longer be with the Galaxy. It seems the recent news of the addition of Dominguez has started something in LA.  Was Xavier forced out of LA by coach Gullit? Xavier said about Gullit “He used language that was not normal and he was very arrogant.” and that “He was a great player but he is not a great coach. I demand respect.”

Coach Gullit claims that Xavier was a bad apple.  From the feeling that I get from reading around the blogosphere it should be a welcome change to most Galaxy fans.

What do you think?  Will replacing Xavier with Dominguez be a good move for the Galaxy?

Carma: I had a dream about this, that I had contacted Coach Ruud Gullit,to replace and quit Abel Xavier, as a Defensive player, of His worthless performance, and as the reason that L.A.Galaxy has lost 3 games,of non-defending of the Goal. It was so bad that Inside forward Klein had to chase after the ball,in possession of a player of the opposite team, with Abel Xavier looking on,and not assisting, which ended in a scoring point, for the opposite team? I used to like Abel Xavier a lot of his strong defense,as Abel got older,so did his defense of the Goal? The ball has to come to Xaviers feet, otherwise he does not move, NO Team Spirit,or willingness to Support,His Teammates,or Himself? YES IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO MOVE ON…..

About,Landon Donovan leaving,is going to Hurt the LAGALAXY tremendously….This is guy is onbelieveble the best of the very best,He should be paid more, and never leave the L.A.Glaxy Organization. It is because of Him,even before the arrival of Beckham, that Donovan has proven his worth,His Team Spirit and the Love for the Game. Without Him L.A.Galaxy will NOT be the Same, and WIN as they have been. Carlos Ruiz,Edson Buttle, and Donovan are the Originals and the Star Players of the L.A.Galaxy that are Home Grown,Keep them or lose Everything that You are enjoying today…. Acknowledge their potential,Respect them,Respect us the FANS.

In order for the LA Galaxy to retain the services of Landon Donovan, they must offer him more money annually. Isn’t preposterous that the league’s top scorer is underpaid at less than $1 million? Otherwise, I see Landon Donovan playing overseas in the coming years. Who will replace him? Well, if Alexi Lalas is still around when/if this occurs, I am sure he would make sounding offers to players such as Ronaldo, Henry, or perhaps even Luis Figo. I am sure that Carlos Ruiz and Edson Buddle can once again be 10+ goal scorers in the coming 2-3 years. I truly don’t think that they should worry about the offense as much as they should be focusing on the defensive end. The new defensive acquisition (Dominguez) by the Galaxy experienced an under-par debut in Dallas. He seemed slow, lackadaisical, perplexed and even incapable of covering Kenny Cooper. Should the Galaxy worry about this? Yes, but I am sure he’ll get better as the practices/games arrive. However, the front office should be in the search of continuing to strengthen their defense, (and possibly even the coaching staff). I heard a rumor on a Spanish sports radio that if the Galaxy does not win its upcoming two matches, the coaching staff and Lalas might be dismissed from the organization.
